Description: This test is designed for Hitachi Data Systems employees and partners who install the Hitachi Compute Platform. The test will validate that the successful candidate has the knowledge and skills to install, configure and support Hitachi Compute Platform systems at customer sites. This includes strong knowledge of the systems hardware and related management software, and thorough understanding of installation and configuration procedures as well as associated administrative activities. The test also covers the tools, techniques and best practices related to supporting and servicing Hitachi Compute Platforms. This test covers the Hitachi Compute Platform models 500 and 2500.

Hitachi Compute Platform installation professionals should have strong knowledge and skills in installing and supporting the hardware systems deployed as part of Hitachi Compute Platform solution implementations. These professionals have knowledge of Hitachi Compute Blade components, switches and add-on cards. They configure Hitachi Compute Blade 500 and CB 2500 with web console, text console, HCSM, LPAR and N+M Cold Stand-by. They perform pre-installation checks, install, configure and test the systems so they can be handed over in an operational state to customers. They also provide post-installation services including support, maintenance, updates and upgrades, and have knowledge of problem-determination and incident-resolution procedures, tools and techniques.
